About Lee Anchor

Emerging Ceramic Sculptor  |  Figurative Sculpture  |  Architecture & Design

Lee Anchor is an emerging ceramic sculptor based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, whose practice explores the human figure through hand-built clay sculpture. Her work is informed by a diverse creative background spanning architecture, interior design, visual art, drawing, painting, fashion, model making and three-dimensional design.

Professional Summary

Architecture → Design → Visual Art → Sculpture

Lee spent decades learning how to understand form, space, proportion, material and the human experience through architecture and design — and she is now bringing that knowledge back to the human figure through clay.

She is currently developing her ceramic practice through studio work, mentorship, exhibition opportunities and community engagement.

Current Practice

Ceramic Sculpture

Lee currently focuses on the human figure, identity, character, emotion and the diverse experiences of women. Her work combines an architectural understanding of form, proportion, structure and space with an increasingly tactile and expressive approach to clay.

30 Women, 30 Careers: Celebrating Diversity

An ongoing series of life-sized figurative sculptures celebrating women across professional and life roles, exploring their identities, professions, individuality and resilience.

Future Development
